# Controlled bulk-resize examples

These three original procedural drawings exercise distinct resize behavior. They contain no external photographs, fonts or generative-model output.

| Input | Encoded pixels | Displayed pixels | Fit within 320 × 320, shrink only |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| landscape-grid.png | 960 × 640 | 960 × 640 | 320 × 213 |
| portrait-orientation-6.jpg | 400 × 800 | 800 × 400 | 320 × 160 |
| transparent-edges.png | 320 × 240 | 320 × 240 | 320 × 240 |

The JPEG stores EXIF orientation 6: rotate 90 degrees clockwise for display. Its white upper-left marker becomes an upper-right marker; its black lower-right marker becomes a lower-left marker. Do not rotate the already oriented browser bitmap a second time. The PNG with transparency contains fully transparent, partially transparent and opaque pixels; test alpha preservation in PNG/WebP and the explicitly chosen background when exporting JPEG.

Fit mode preserves aspect ratio, rounds the scaled dimensions down to an integer and does not crop or add padding. The landscape height rounds from 213.333… to 213. Shrink-only mode keeps the smaller transparent image at its existing dimensions. Other output modes need their own expected dimensions.

## Reproduce

From this repository with its installed `sharp` dependency:

```sh
node public/examples/bulk-resize/reproduce.mjs
```

An optional output directory allows a clean reproduction without replacing these fixtures:

```sh
node public/examples/bulk-resize/reproduce.mjs /tmp/isgenai-bulk-resize-examples
```

The manifest records encoded byte sizes and SHA-256 hashes, orientation, displayed dimensions, decoded RGBA hashes, alpha counts and encoder versions. Exact encoded hashes can vary with encoder versions. Browser resizing may also use different interpolation or color conversion; these examples do not promise identical resized bytes across browsers. They do not benchmark origin detection, general image quality or universal metadata removal.
