Recover the workflow saved in your PNG.

Inspect the editable graph and API execution graph separately. Download saved JSON, even when a workflow contains more than one text prompt.

Workflow JSON and prompt JSON

Editable workflow

The PNG’s workflow field can contain nodes, connections and canvas layout. This reader displays its node inventory and lets you download that field unchanged.

API execution graph

The prompt field describes node classes and inputs. Its JSON is useful for inspecting a multi-stage workflow; it is different from the positive prompt text.

Only need the text?

For supported AUTOMATIC1111, ComfyUI and InvokeAI records, the saved-prompt extractor reads the positive prompt, negative prompt and recorded model.

Extract saved prompt text

Inspect a workflow in three steps

  1. Choose an original PNG or an exported workflow JSON.
  2. Read the record type and filter the node inventory. Open “View saved JSON” to inspect the values.
  3. Download the editable workflow or API graph. Review it before opening it in your own environment.

Why does a PNG show no workflow?

The image may have been saved without metadata, re-encoded, stripped of its records or created by another tool. Damaged records and graphs outside this reader’s limits also return no supported workflow. Missing metadata does not determine whether an image is AI-generated.

Checking an exported image? Compare its saved graph with the original PNG.

Does the JSON include the models?

No. A graph records instructions and references; it does not bundle model files or custom node packages. This viewer does not install dependencies, certify that a graph will run or execute downloaded content.

A reproducible example

The examples use an image we drew by code. One copy contains a hand-built two-node LoadImage → SaveImage graph in both metadata fields. The other contains no workflow. This demonstrates reading records without claiming that those nodes generated the picture.

Supports PNG text records and standalone workflow/API JSON, up to 1,000 nodes and 1 MB of extracted metadata. WebP, video and latent-file metadata are not supported by this reader.

ComfyUI’s workflow metadata documentation explains the two saved fields. To inspect signatures instead, use the Content Credentials checker.
