isGenAI is an external public-evidence rating system with a published, versioned method. It records what is independently observable, what requires context and what changed over time, so every grade can be reproduced and challenged.

Status taxonomy
Eight precise statuses instead of one blunt verdict.
Observed status is always separate from legal compliance. isGenAI never collapses ambiguous public evidence into a binary claim.
Some public signal exists, but it is incomplete, narrow or implementation-limited.
The scan observed no public signal. A technical fact, never a legal non-compliance finding.
The control sits beyond what external testing can verify from public evidence.
Vendor-submitted evidence passed isGenAI review and is marked vendor-originated.
A correction or dispute is open and the affected observation is flagged for everyone to see.
The control does not apply to the assessed product context.
Legal or deployment context must be supplied before an external inference is fair.

Score, grade and confidence
VERIFIED and VENDOR VERIFIED count as 1. PARTIAL counts as 0.5. NOT OBSERVED counts as 0. UNVERIFIABLE, REQUIRES CONTEXT, DISPUTED and NOT APPLICABLE are excluded from the denominator.

Every indexed scorecard has cleared the evidence gate.
A public scorecard needs a canonical organization, product classification, official domain, standardized scan, evidence records, methodology version and publication review before it is indexable. No exceptions.
A failed fetch, access challenge or empty page extract never supports a public grade. Scored output-marking checks require an artifact inspection, because marketing language establishes nothing about whether marking is present or absent. Verified accessibility and timing require evidence from an accessibility check or a reviewed workflow. Assessments without that evidence are retained for review while their ratings and related public findings stay withheld, which is exactly what makes a published grade credible.
