What we check
Useful clues, brought together in one report.
How the file was made
Some images carry a signed record of the tools and edits used to make them. We check the signature and read that record for AI use.
Details saved in an image
Image files can hold the name of an AI tool, a saved prompt or editing details. We show what the file says and where we found it.
AI labels in words
We look for statements such as ‘created with AI’ in public pages, pasted text and code. Mentioning an AI tool alone is different from saying it made the content.
Matching copies
We compare files with copies already in our records. A matching copy can lead to more information about how an image was made.
