AI image detector by generator

Ideogram AI image detector: evidence from the download

As of October 2026 Ideogram publishes no documentation of C2PA Content Credentials, IPTC source types or saved prompts in its downloads, so isGenAI reports exactly which records the file you upload contains rather than assuming any.

AI source type declared

The file labels itself as AI-made.

IPTC DigitalSourceType such as trainedAlgorithmicMedia is read from XMP and shown with its exact value.

What we could and could not verify

We searched Ideogram’s public materials and the C2PA and IPTC vendor lists in October 2026 and found no statement about provenance metadata in Ideogram exports. That does not mean the files are empty; it means nothing can be assumed. A download may carry XMP or EXIF written by Ideogram’s pipeline, or nothing beyond the image data.

The honest approach is to inspect a real file. Upload the original download and read the report field by field.

What isGenAI reads from any Ideogram file

The checker validates any C2PA manifest it finds, reads the IPTC DigitalSourceType from XMP, searches the metadata for AI statements such as “AI generated”, reads saved prompts in the AUTOMATIC1111, ComfyUI and InvokeAI formats, and compares the file’s hash and perceptual fingerprint with its records. Each finding names its source field.

If none of those records exist, the report prints “no evidence found” and explains that absence is not proof of a human author. isGenAI never scores the pixels to fill the gap.

Practical steps for an Ideogram image

Ask the creator for the original export, not a copy from a chat. Run it through the EXIF viewer to see every readable field, then through the AI image detector for the interpreted report. If the image was reposted, the matching-copy check can tie it to a record that still carried metadata.

If Ideogram starts documenting Content Credentials, the checker will validate them automatically; this page will be updated when the vendor documents a change.

How to check an image from this generator

  1. Get the original download, not a screenshot or a copy saved from a chat or social feed.
  2. Upload it to the free AI image detector. Files up to 20 MiB in PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF or TIFF are read on the server and are private by default.
  3. Open “How we checked” and read each finding with its source field: signed record, declared source type, saved prompt, AI statement or matching copy.
  4. Treat a clean result as “no evidence found”, never as proof that a person made the picture.

Frequently asked questions

Does Ideogram add metadata to its images?

We found no Ideogram documentation of C2PA, IPTC source types or saved prompts as of October 2026. Inspect the actual download; isGenAI reports whatever records it contains.

Can isGenAI detect an Ideogram image?

Only from evidence inside the file or a matching copy in its records. Without a credential, source type, AI statement or saved prompt, the report says no evidence found.

Is an Ideogram image detectable after a screenshot?

No file evidence survives a screenshot. isGenAI does not infer origin from pixels, so obtain the original export.

What is the fastest way to see every field in an Ideogram file?

Use the EXIF viewer for the raw fields, then the AI image detector for the interpreted evidence report with each finding’s source.
