Krea AI image detector: records in the download
Krea’s documentation describes how to download images but says nothing about Content Credentials or source-type metadata as of October 2026, so isGenAI identifies a Krea image only from the records present in the file you upload.

AI source type declared
The file labels itself as AI-made.
IPTC DigitalSourceType such as trainedAlgorithmicMedia is read from XMP and shown with its exact value.
Check an image →What Krea documents
Krea’s feature documentation covers downloading single images and zipped sets. It does not mention C2PA, IPTC DigitalSourceType or prompt metadata. Krea runs several third-party models, including FLUX variants, and a hosted pipeline decides what reaches the download; that decision is not documented.
Black Forest Labs states that it does not attach Content Credentials for outputs produced by third-party inference environments, so a FLUX image made inside Krea should not be assumed to carry a BFL credential.
What isGenAI reads
The checker validates any C2PA manifest, reads the IPTC source type from XMP, quotes AI statements in metadata, reads AUTOMATIC1111, ComfyUI and InvokeAI prompt records and matches the hash and perceptual fingerprint. Findings are listed with their field names under “How we checked”.
If nothing is found the report says so and explains that absence is not evidence of a human author.
Practical steps
Download at full resolution from Krea rather than saving a preview, and avoid messaging apps that re-encode. Run the EXIF viewer to see raw fields, then the AI image detector for the interpreted report.
For an image already reposted, the matching-copy check may connect it to an earlier copy that still carried records.
Krea also offers real-time and enhance tools that turn a sketch or a low-resolution image into a finished render. Each of those outputs is a fresh export with its own records, so check the specific file rather than its source sketch.
How to check an image from this generator
- Get the original download, not a screenshot or a copy saved from a chat or social feed.
- Upload it to the free AI image detector. Files up to 20 MiB in PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF or TIFF are read on the server and are private by default.
- Open “How we checked” and read each finding with its source field: signed record, declared source type, saved prompt, AI statement or matching copy.
- Treat a clean result as “no evidence found”, never as proof that a person made the picture.
Frequently asked questions
Does Krea add metadata to generated images?
Krea documents download options but not provenance metadata as of October 2026. Inspect the file; isGenAI reports whatever records it contains.
Does a FLUX image made in Krea carry BFL’s credential?
Black Forest Labs states it does not attach Content Credentials for third-party inference environments, so do not assume one. Check the file.
Is a Krea image detectable after a screenshot?
No. Screenshots carry no file records and isGenAI does not infer origin from pixels.
Which isGenAI tool shows the raw fields?
The EXIF viewer lists every readable EXIF, XMP and PNG field in your browser without uploading the file.
