Image RGB Histogram
Inspect the distribution of red, green and blue channel values in an image.
Your selected images stay in this browser. No AI model call or server upload.
Selected files: 0 · PNG, JPEG and WebP. Up to 8 MB per file and 12 million decoded pixels. Batch totals cannot exceed 40 MB. Exports are still images; animation is not retained.
Exported images do not carry the original saved prompts, EXIF or Content Credentials. Keep the original file when you need its creation records.
The histogram counts all nontransparent decoded pixels in 256 bins per channel. Download the counts as JSON. This describes channel values, not camera exposure data or a calibrated luminance measurement.
How to use this tool
- Choose the image whose channel distribution you want to inspect.
- Run the tool to count red, green and blue values in 256 bins per channel.
- Review the channel chart or download the JSON arrays for exact counts. Fully transparent pixels are excluded.
Frequently asked questions
What does an image histogram show?
It shows how many nontransparent pixels have each channel value from 0 to 255. Low bins contain darker channel values and high bins contain brighter ones. The three channel distributions describe decoded RGB values.
Can the histogram prove an image is overexposed?
No. A concentration at 255 may reflect clipped highlights or intentional white content. Interpret it with the image itself. This tool does not read RAW sensor data, camera exposure settings or a calibrated luminance histogram.
