Pixelate an Image
Create a blocky mosaic from an image with an adjustable pixel block size.
Your selected images stay in this browser. No AI model call or server upload.
Selected files: 0 · PNG, JPEG and WebP. Up to 8 MB per file and 12 million decoded pixels. Batch totals cannot exceed 40 MB. Exports are still images; animation is not retained.
Exported images do not carry the original saved prompts, EXIF or Content Credentials. Keep the original file when you need its creation records.
Amount selects the block size in pixels. The image is reduced and enlarged with sharp block boundaries. Pixelation changes appearance; it is not guaranteed to hide sensitive information securely.
How to use this tool
- Choose the image to turn into a blocky mosaic.
- Set Amount from 1 to 200 pixels. Larger values produce a coarser grid.
- Run the tool, inspect the blocks and download the PNG. The final image keeps its original dimensions.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make the pixelation stronger?
Increase Amount to make the intermediate grid smaller and the visible blocks larger. Values from 1 to 200 are supported. The actual block boundaries also depend on the original dimensions.
Can I pixelate just a face?
This tool pixelates the entire image and has no region selection. Pixelation is a visual effect, not guaranteed redaction. Use an editor with an opaque cover or removal tool for information that must not remain visible.
