Sharpen an Image
Increase edge contrast with a controlled sharpening filter and download a previewed result.
Your selected images stay in this browser. No AI model call or server upload.
Selected files: 0 · PNG, JPEG and WebP. Up to 8 MB per file and 12 million decoded pixels. Batch totals cannot exceed 40 MB. Exports are still images; animation is not retained.
Exported images do not carry the original saved prompts, EXIF or Content Credentials. Keep the original file when you need its creation records.
Amount sets edge emphasis from 0 to 100. Strong settings can create halos. This conventional pixel filter does not restore missing detail or perform AI upscaling.
How to use this tool
- Choose an image with edges you want to emphasize.
- Set Amount from 0 to 100. Begin with a modest value such as 20 and run the tool.
- Look for halos around letters, fine lines and high-contrast edges. Reduce Amount if these become distracting, then download the PNG.
Frequently asked questions
Can sharpening fix a blurry image?
Sharpening can make existing edges look more distinct. It cannot recover detail that the file no longer contains. This tool uses a conventional pixel filter and does not perform AI reconstruction or increase resolution.
Why are there bright outlines after sharpening?
Strong sharpening can push pixels on either side of an edge toward lighter and darker values, creating halos. Lower Amount and compare the preview at the image's intended display size.
